Learn something new!

From time to time there has been interest among guild members to explore various ideas in quilting.  The Education Committee is continually working to see what new interests are out there.  Below is a list of the new groups that are in the process of forming.  Details of the group's focus and meeting times will be added as they become available.

The Mona Lisas (formerly Art Quilts) will meet on Sept. 12 after the morning gathering for a program on Thread Portraits. If you are going to attend please let us know through the guild email or at the Tuesday morning gatherings so there are enough handouts for everyone.  Please bring your lunch; the program is about 2 hours so we will start around 11:00 and take a break for lunch around noon.

The dates for this year's meetings are Sept. 12, Nov. 14, Jan. 9, March 13, and May 8.  The group has decided on a landscape grid quilt for our project.  This is a quilt done in sections by 3-4 individuals, but the theme of the quilt is carried through from one section to the next.  Groups will be formed and final projects will be decided on at the Nov. 14 meeting.  If you would like to participate please attend or email us through the guild email so that you can be assigned to a group.  Everyone is asked to bring ideas for the projects; each group will decide what they want to do.

Creative Stitchers (formerly the Wool Applique' group) will meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month after announcements and Show and Tell at the Tuesday morning gathering.

Modern Quilts and EQ meet on an irregular basis.  If you have any questions, please contact Carol (Go to "About Us", then "Contact Us")"

Machine Embroidery is an open meeting to discuss embroidery problems and offer hints and suggestions (no need to bring your machine: laptops are optional).  The group meets after the Tuesday morning gathering on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
