Special Interest Groups
Special Interest Groups are composed of Guild members who have a common interest in a particular technique or style of quilting. Members may join these groups at any time and may belong to more than one group.
This page includes information about these groups that is not published to the public, including activities, projects, challenges, and leadership.
Mona Lisas
Leader: Lynette Helland
The 2025 Mona Lisa Challenge for the Quilt Show is "Collage Face". The 'face' may be human, animal, or a play on words (ie, face of a cliff, face down, etc). It must be 3 layers, quilted, and an original design. There is no size limit. The owners name will not be revealed until the voting is over. Ribbons will be awarded. Anyone is welcome to participate. Modern Mavens
Leader: Kristy Ohlson
The Modern Mavens will display quilts with the theme "Circles and Curves." Ribbons will be awarded.
Rules:
- Must be three layers.
- Must have facing or binding.
- Can be an original design or a modern quilt pattern.
- Minimum size is 120 inches diameter
Electric Quilt (EQ)
Leader: Melissa Grote
The EQ group meets on the first Tuesday of most months. Each month, they explore a feature of EQ and work together to make sure they all know how to use it. Bring your computer (with EQ) and a lunch.
