The Black Hills Quilters Guild began in 1977 as a small group of women interested in quilting. Their goal was to encourage a wider appreciation of quilting, to raise the standards of design and individual expression, and to keep interest in quilting alive by promoting local quilt projects, programs, and doing charitable works.
The Guild continues to be dedicated to encouraging a wider appreciation of quilting by offering opportunities to learn and improve skills in the area of quilting, contribute to the local community through the giving of quilts to those in need, and build new friendships with others who share an interest in quilting.
