at The Monument
The 2022 Black Hills Quilt Show will be held June 2-4 in the Rushmore Hall at The Monument (same location - new name) in beautiful downtown Rapid City. This show, sponsored by the Black Hills Quilters Guild, will be open for a preview on Thursday, June 2 from 5:00-8:00 PM, on Friday, June 3 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and on Saturday, June 4 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Admission is $7 per person per day or $10 for a 3-day pass.

We recently completed our 2021 Quilt Show with nearly 500 competition quilts displayed. Pictures of the quilts are now available in the Gallery tab on this website.
The judge in 2021 was Pamela Day Walsh from Golden, CO. Pamela is a Certified Quilt Judge through the National Association of Certified Quilt Judges. She attends and judges numerous national, state and local quilt shows annually. She is the Colorado Quilting Council Lead Quilt Judge and the past Chairperson of the Colorado Quilting Council Competition Committee.
Raffle Quilt and Raffle Basket
The 2021 BHQG Raffle Quilt was won by Nancy Reiss of Rapid City.
Silent Auction for Hospice of the Black Hills
The BHQG again sponsored a Silent Auction of Small Quilted Objects to support Hospice of the Black Hills. In 2021, our auction raised $2,535. Since 2005, we have raised $38,029 for the Hospice of the Black Hills.

The Inspiration Studio offers classes and demos during the Quilt Show. They also provide information about upcoming events, such as the Quilting in the Hills Retreat offered by the Black Hills Quilters Guild in the fall.
Open Sew for Project Warmth
Open Sew offers people a chance to sit and sew for a few minutes or a few hours. Machines, supplies, and helpers are provided by the BHQG. In 2019, four quilts were completed during the show which were used for Project Warmth, the charity outreach division of the BHQG. They also offer quilted items made by our Project Warmth group for sale.
The Quilters' Extravaganza
Quilters' Extravaganza is a dinner event on Friday evening during the quilt show.
